While many microporous materials experience thermal shifts that cause permanent degradation in performance and safety assurance of thermal insulation, our silica microporous insulation blankets continue performing reliably and to specification, heat cycle after heat cycle.

 

It's the low thermal conductivity and hydrophobic qualities of our Micropor™ insulation technology that are responsible for the superior performance and adaptability of our high-temperature microporous insulation blankets. It's also what makes them suitable for marine and liquid storage applications just as well as engine insulation, exhaust heat shields, oven and furnace insulation, fire protection blankets, and high-temperature protection required in power generation.   

Available in 5mm and 10 mm thickness, our microporous insulation blankets provide continuous protection up to 1200°F/650°F and won’t break down after just one thermal cycle.

Made with the latest in AES (alkaline earth silica) fiber technology, our TREO® 2000 needled high-temperature insulation blanket exhibits low shrinkage at use temperature and low thermal conductivity. Easy to fabricate and customize, the thickness and density of the end-product can be adjusted for peak performance and greater flexibility across multiple types of applications.

The biosoluble fibers in TREO® 2000 are asbestos- and ceramic-free and are less bio-persistent, so they are eliminated more quickly by the body while still maintaining excellent thermal insulation and fire protection qualities. Ideal for use in high-temperature appliances, metals processing, power generation, petrochemical production, and other demanding applications, TREO® 2000 high-temperature insulation blankets deliver continuous performance at 1800°F/1000°C, however, maximum continuous use temperature depends on the application.

When our customers needed an insulation blanket that was easy to work with, occupationally safe, and still maintained quality performance at extreme temperatures, our engineers responded. The result is our Maxsil® silica needled insulation blanket – the benchmark in stable, high-performance insulation.  

Unlike ceramic fiber insulation blankets, Maxsil® silica blankets are shot-free and feature consistent, 6mm diameter fibers for uniform density. This makes our product non-respirable and allows maintenance personnel the freedom to install the insulation without gloves. But being installation-friendly is not its only advantage. Featuring increased durability due to its higher strength and abrasion resistance, our Maxsil® silica needled blankets also deliver excellent stress-relieving insulation at a significant cost reduction over knitted silica blankets.

 

Maxsil® silica blankets fulfill a number of traditional thermal blanket insulation needs, including uses as water heater insulation blankets, fire protection blankets, wall blanket insulation, and car hood insulation blankets, providing flexibility and best-in-class insulation performance up to 2000°F/1100°C.

Like its TREO® 2000 cousin, our TREO® 2300 high-temperature insulation blanket exhibits low thermal conductivity, is biosoluble, low-shrinkage, and made with cutting edge AES (alkaline earth silica) fibers. However, this variant in the TREO® line provides thermal protection at even higher temperatures. Featuring a classification temperature of 2372°F/1300°C, this blanket is easily capable of continuous use at 2102°F (1150°C), depending on the application. Flexible, resilient, and easy to fabricate, the TREO® 2300 is unaffected by most chemicals, making it ideal for use in annealing furnaces, domestic oven insulation, and power generation applications. Thermal blankets made from TREO® 2300 are immune to thermal shock and require no labels under Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for the classification and labeling of chemicals.
